Boycotts are a great idea, in theory. Rarely do they have any effect unless the masses play along. I think the demographics of Whole Foods may hold less of the ilk that would likely boycott. I do not have any data to substantiate that, just a gut feeling. Whole Foods is a big corporation, it's moral center is driven by shareholders..who have not been pleased by a lot of what Mackey has been up to these days (example: debacle in Boulder, CO). I for one will boycott, as little as I shop there. Why Mackey said what he said will likely be questioned by Whole Foods shareholders.
